maybe its because im not very good at checkers, but I always find I can only make one move, two at most, that aren't blunders so its not very exciting because I can't really have a strategy. its more of a case of find and play the only non-blunder move! so i don't find it that exciting
same here with checkers

I don't like checkers.
I like them both, but checkers is vastly underrated and viewed as simple by people who haven't played checkers at a high level. In terms of possible positions, chess is much "bigger" but I challenge anyone here who thinks checkers is simple to go over to playok.com, where some strong checker players hang out, and see how they do. Then try to solve the problems on my site, checkermaven. com, and see how that goes.

Marion Tinsley is the greatest checkers player who ever lived, he lost 7 games in 45 years, and 2 of those were to a computer. He retired for several years because he got bored winning every tournament he entered. One can only wonder if he might have been able to dominate chess in the same way.

Tic Tac Toe, because of the intricacies and infinite possibilities. After that, I like Solitaire, Hop Scotch, checkers, then chess.
Chess is so simple compared to these other games.
I like Twister!!
Chess is much more fun, much more variation in the game, and much more challenging, compared to checkers, or any other board game for that sake.
