If you lose - you lost.
Which is better: Losing on Time or Position ?

It’s easier to train yourself to move faster than to improve your overall understanding of the game.
A loss is a loss. It might be easier to get flagged in a game because it is simple to blame the loss on "not moving quickly enough." and move on. Regardless, it is important to sincerely review those games and figure out all the factors that contributed to the loss.
On time is better because that means you were thinking about the position while the other person won by just making you think-they could be bad at chess, 3000 rating less than you and you could lose on time

I lost a few games on time but smile anyways because I did have the better positions (winning).
I had that notion for a long time, in particular when I was playing much higher rated players. I was telling myself, "Well, I lost, but it was an even game, so everything is cool." But it's the safest way to sabotage your success. If you want to win you have to take risks. Of course you will blunder more the faster you move. But it's the only way to put you in a position, where you will actually have a chance to beat players.
