Magnus vs Hikaru: magnus wins. Fischer vs Kasparov: Fischer wins. Which is better Fischer or Magnus? Fischer was considered the legend of chess back in the days, but according to skill, I still choose Magnus

Carlsen.
Having said that, I've become more appreciative of Nakamura over time. Carlsen may be dominant when it comes to classical chess, but I think Naka and Carlsen are in the same league in blitz and 960.

For the second question, I would choose Kasparov as he was the greatest player of his time until Carlsen and etc came along to take the first place from him.
Hikaru is better at blitz & bullet chess and Magnus is better at classical games imo
Seriously though, Magnus is certainly one of the best 5-6 players ever, and Hikaru probably is barely in the top 100.

Hikaru is one of the top players in the world; however, many people believe Magnus to be the best player of all time. Both have great talent, but objectively, Magnus is on another level.
