I know I probably sound like a 2 year old by saying this…but I’m cheering for Hikaru. I think he deserves a WCC win after entertaining millions of people and being the #2 for so long. Fabiano might deserve it too, he made it to the WCC and lost to Magnus. But at the end of the day…Magnus deserves it. He just won’t come back to it. At the same time, I feel like another rising Indian star could get there easily. Or Gukesh could defend the title. 

TLDR: Hikaru deserves it, honestly. But there are so many others that are knocking on the door, and they would also deserve it if they earned being let in.

Personally I'm rooting for Pragg, but honestly I think Fabi will make it. I feel bad for him and Hikaru because they were and still are great players, just in magnus' era.
