i was watch a video the other day and the gm giving the lesson said, which gm asked a group of players which gm would you like to play. and to my surprise most said botvinnik. which would have been my chose also. so i ask you chess fan, which gm would you like to play and why. for me botvinnik because he's the father of positional play and his style of play. for other because of opening thoughts and test of lines not played in a game.....what about you

If I could go back in time any of these Players..............

Paul Morphy, Adolph Anderssen, Steinitz, Capablanca, Geza Marcozy, Frank Marshall,Mikhail Tal, William Napier, Harry Nelson Pillsbury, Henry Bird.

Gary Kasparov at his best.

I don't know enough chess to decide based on the quality of thier play, but Capablanca just looks like a cool guy to grab a beer with.

I'd choose Mikhail Tal.  I find his games so fun to watch and his sacrifices too many moves forethought for me to really learn anything from lol, but, he rocks.

Ta' boot I'm definatly not opposed to smoke or drink breaks...if it lasts that long eh.

Tal or Kasparov would be awesome, but what about guys who may not have been the best, but may have been better at teaching? Maybe Yusupov or nimzo or Lasker or Sierawan?
