Why all the fuss about Nakamura?

Nakamura's tactical ability and his speed of calculation are truly amazing. I've heard stories of GM's getting odds of 5 minutes to 3 minutes against him and still losing every game. 

That said, I've never been an admirer of his playing style : tactically justified, but positionally, well, if not unsound, at least...strange. Just like a computer. It's hard for me to see the strategic logic in his games. His use of the Parham is a perfect example.
