But there's another problem. I'm facing off with people who have like 30 more Elo than me and i'm still getting 9 Elo, is it something with my settings?

when people get 30+ elo it' usually because there new to the site and chess.com issn't sure how good they are yet, you will continue to get small rating boosts unless you play somone with a rating drastically higher than yours and win, I did it once, and it was awesome.

But no, as someone mentioned, the reason is the user is new and chess.com is boosting elo gains to speed up finding correct starting elo. Once its established after 10 or so games, you'll get 7-9 per win.

If you are new to the site chess.com will change your rating in bigger increments to find your real rating, once you have been here for a while you will gain in 8s and 9s.

Each time i play a game, If I win, I only get +9 Elo, I have seen others get +25 in a match and they are in the 500s, but I only get around ten more Elo. Is there something that I clicked in settings? If someone knows please tell me. Thank you in advance.
