Yea true the title says it is tbh
Why am I finding 1100s easier than 800s and 900s...?

Perhaps you've developed sufficient technique through the aforementioned period of being stuck at a certain level, who knows ?

Because most 1100s are hardstuck at 1100 since they started at 1200 most likely, while 800s and 900s are still climbing the elo rankings.

At lower ratings like 800-900, opponents often play unpredictably, making it harder to rely on standard plans or tactics. These players might prioritize odd moves that disrupt structured play.

The people I play against fluctuate a lot in difficulty (mostly based on when/if I make a bad move) but I've found that this is kind of the case.
The easiest way to put it is that there are two types of people at all rating ranges: Those who are climbing up fast and will soon be humbled, and those who are frozen/plateaued.
As a frozen 770-790 person, it shows a lot.
- Games against people with my rating tend to be pretty one-sided or painfully close. It's a matter of whether I get a climber or a fellow solid ice cube.
- When I get put against a <700, usually I can beat them quite handily, but other times it's clear that they are also stuck where they are.
- When I get put against a 900+, games typically get one-sided again. Sometimes they turn out fairly balanced, but this is rare.
As title says, was stuck in the 800s/900s swamp for a long while and strange as it may seem, they were tougher to prevail over as compared to 1000s and especially 1100s... Does anyone else feel the same way? Why is it I wonder...
