you have a very high blitz rating. do you have tips on getting that high? do you play much otb?

Congrats on your results, they are impressive nevertheless. I wish I could get that high of a tactics rating, but that clock ticks too fast for me 
I'm also in the 1800-1900 range in TT but I can't get over 1300 in blitz. In standard, however, I play way better.

I suppose that's possible.. I play the Stonewall Dutch, Colle-Zuketort and the French Defence. However I do change my openings quite a bit, recently I have been trying my luck with 1.b3. I have also changed my line against the 3.Nc3 and 3.Nd2 lines of the French, from 3...dxe4 and 4...Nd7 to 3...dxe4 and 4...Nf6 (intending if 5.Nxf6 gxf6)
My guess: you play fast, with a set of openings you know quite well. You're lucky and probably (when you're not playing the french) you attack without a plan. Which is the best way of getting a good blitz rating without playing the game properly. Of course you're a 3min blitz player.

Yeah I'm on a really bad losing streak atm...
Also when the position becomes messy, or if I don't know the opening or whatever, attacking 'without a plan' is usually the best option to play for a win ;) And yes, I am a 3min blitz player..
Really? More or less all of my blitz games end in blunders or tactics..
The person who spots a tactical shot generally wins the game..

A 'high level' tactic does not have to be forced mate in 8 though. I think you can still have a 'high level' 2-3 move tactic

Impossible. You lose against a 1550 rated opponent on correspondence chess.
Yesterday I hit 1900 in blitz and am currently at my peak rating. However my tactics trainer rating has fallen below 1900. Most players that I've seen with a similar blitz rating to mine, and even significantly lower (1500+ roughly) are 2100+ on the tactics trainer. Am I just bad at tactics, or are most other players I've seen very good at tactics?
