The Wantobegm, the conclusion to why my rating is low is simply because I don't play it much and therefore you lack the consistence and requirements with your gameplay it's like with anything if you don't carry on with an activity then you will be out of practice until you get back to that activity and you keep on practicing until you get it right and the games that I played on chess.com most of my losses was in result to my lack of patience and I have emphasised on earlier post you need patience. If can plant my knowledge and your able to act on the knowledge that is provided and you see improvement wouldn't that be enough for you? What do you have to lose? Like I said if you don't see as well as I, an improvement with in your rating I will return your money. I'm confident in changing your game because I have the methods and tools to do that, I will provide you the key steps to changing your game. It's all down to you at the end of the day.

Wantobegm, I advice you to scour chess.com coaches list and find players a few hundred points stronger than you (1700 FIDE). They will be more suited to your needs than a master level player. Best not to follow taxman XD An out of practice, sick club player would still play better than that level.

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE but I dont drop pieces so often and have a bit endgame knowledge. But still thanks for advice

Yes, not dropping free pieces is the first step. Next you have to learn to see tactical patterns and combinations. Most of your losses at this level is tactically related.

I have very tight budget and can't afford a coach and if you know any good with very low fees suggest me please. BTW what is your age now. I think the same of not trusting taxman

Squished, I agree with you on some thing's and it seem's to me that you doubt me, I would happily like to challenge your knowledge on chess against mine over a game of chess first to three to prove to you the player that I am. First game, to study your play, Second game put everything what I've learned about you into play and finally I'll be more fluent in beating you sorry if I sounded arrogant to you but I am just that confident. If you want challenge me then email me and we take it from there.

This guy Taxmanmaz86 has achieved an underwhelming 817 blitz rating on this site over 461 games against opposition with an average stregth of 827 and he wants to charge money for teaching and challenges a CM ?

Just when you think you've seen it all lol.

I have trouble believing this is serious and not trolling.

How old are you? If your brain hasn't yet fossilized, you still have hope.

I am only 14

Then you're in a great position to keep playing, getting experience in how the game is played from opening to ending and sharpen your tactical eye. You'll do OK. If in 3-4 years you're still complaining of no progress, you've probably hit the wall.

Taxman won in 0 moves. The opponent resigned at the sheer terror of his chess knowledge. I've seen the error of my ways. Please have mercy on me.

All those games I played I never taken it seriously, I lacked on a few key points on winning those games. I been out of the game for a very long time but I have past achievements that I'm proud of. You can doubt me, judge and be cynical towards me that's no problem until you challenge me then you will never know the sort of player I am, so therefore I don't even think it gives you the rights to critisise me in that fashion. I would like to add that I can not control the level of criticism and doubt people have against me and I don't want to waste my time responding to every negative comment either.

I'm nowhere near the CM's strength. But I'll give you a game or two and see how you fare - If you are as good as you say. I've added you and will be looking forward to some games.

Those games would be meaningless, and I hope you know why. Laughing

I think if you're stuck you really have to ask - what am I doing now to improve, because it's not working?

I took the advice of tactics, tactics, tactics when I was trying to go from 1150 to 1200+, and it really didn't work despite some pretty hard work on my part. I'd have the rare game where I'd have a nice tricky combo finish, but most of my games were lost in nonexciting manner, with no chances for me to use those tactical skills I'd spent so much time practicing.

I changed up my study approach (in frustration) and started trying to memorize annotated games. I've never reached a point where I can reproduce a full game with sidelines from memory (not even close, actually), but wow - this made ALL the difference.

I think what this method does is highlight the areas where you are weakest, since you will have to spend more time reviewing those sections of the game to memorize/understand them. So it by nature addresses your weaknesses, even if you don't know what they are yourself.

It also corrects 'tactics-brain' which is what I think most players stuck where I was at 1150-1250, have. They're looking for tactics, tactics, tactics, but routinely make small errors with basic moves that sound like "stupidly obvious I know that already stuff" like claim open files, don't move the same move twice, develop undeveloped pieces, but I can guarantee that they make a lot of those - most of the players I play who are 1400-1600 (on 5-min blitz here) still make a lot of those errors, but make very few gross tactical errors.

Until you dramatically reduce those 'quiet' errors (and they're not hard to fix, esp ifyou go through annotated games), you'll have a hard time even with good tactical acumen.

I also think trying to memorize it is a pretty failsafe way to go. I know some folks here will say 'you don't understand, you're just memorizing', but I don't think that's accurate at all. You memorize the refutations/sidelines, you are learning concrete examples to reinforce understanding. Furthermore, there are quite a few situations in chess where you just have to memorize it to get the best line.

To judge me on my rating and underestimate me just based on my rating, just shows the quality of a player you are, you need to more humble as a player. I don't play it very much but what i do know, I know what it takes to be a good player and if I really want to I can have a much better rating because I have the ability to do so. Being judgemental is not a good trait to have and never under estimate your opponent, with my lessons I will use all the methods to change your game and have you adopt the right qualities to make you better person as well as a better person, chess has the power to change your life and you will the effects it will have every aspect of your life. If your judge people and underestimate your opponent you will fail, I will give that wisdom to be a better player. The saying go's condemnation before investigation is the greatest form of ignorance. If you doubt I'll be willing to challenge you to a game first to three and I guarantee I will beat you overall, regardless if you have a higher rating then me, my ambition is not be the ultimate player with a higher rating but merely to be a coach a very good one indeed at the moment I'm doing a lot of life coaching and I can proudly say that I have changed lives. It's up to you I don't need anyone else's stamp of improv all, I know what I need to know and I provided you with an answer and think it was a very good answer without the judgements and sarcasm.

No offense, but he's not the one who needs to be humble here.

You are the one who's being judgemental
