Probably because i found something i didn't like - but now i will unblock you - no reason to stay that way as it seems you too made some interesting post that i like.
Why am I playing so horribly all of a sudden?
Probably just the "one more game" syndrome.
A Geek's addiction. A Nerd's nightmare.
Chess is a game that has infinite moves. Someone thinking that they know what they're doing is someone that's dreaming. Even Carlsen would lose 9 times out of 10 against a decent program. The chess player is playing against his opponent, himself and infinity, it's a tough battle.
Even Carlsen would lose 9 times out of 10 against a decent program.
Carlsen would score better than that against a futuristic engine with acess to a 32 piece tablebase. Don't talk about what you don't understand.
I blame it on food.probably no one said this before. grassy food. burnt oil. scrambled eggs. bread. sausages. try changing your diet to the healthiest you can.
Happend to me too, I am playing like a 2100 patzer sometimes (like today) when I should be closer to 2300
Ratings wise, stronger commercial engines nowadays are around 3300.
No they're not. They're 3300 in an entirely different rating pool that isn't comparable to FIDE ratings. They're not even remotely close to 3300 FIDE. In fact, 3300 FIDE is an impossible rating with current inflation because of the reason I've already stated.
Do your reserch better next time.
One chess site I belong to brought in a computer program that played 3 minute games. This site has top players like Nigel Short and various other GM's and IM's. Over about 150 games, not one person, including GM's beat or even tied the program, it won every single game. Garry Kasparov won a couple of games against IBM's Big Blue about 20 years ago, but these days computers are smarter and faster, they'd demolish any human opponent, probably 99% of the time.
You could probably say that if a GM or anyone else managed to beat a top-level computer program today it would be the greatest game a human has ever played. With the computer evaluating millions of possible positions every second, beating it would be close to a miracle. Although, I'd still like to see a Carlsen vs computer match, just to see how it goes. IBM could put up $1 million or so for the winner.
Then, when a software developer claims his engine is above 3300, I have no basis to doubt it... moreover when they clean the floor with GMs whenever they have the opportunity.
Your rating: 3300 Opponent's rating: 2840
Probability of winning: 0.933885938662804
Don't be a moron. Even if we automatically rule out Carlsen ever getting any kind of a result in any game ever as black or ever getting a win with White (which is already ridiculous), he still only needs to do is draw 1/4 of his games as White to stop ratings about 3300 as being mathematically impossible. If you think he can't do that then I have no time for you.
However you may respond to this, I can't see it being worth my time. Just see that you've been an idiot and move on.
Im poor buddy, no money to fix my escoliosis, lol.
I still dont understand the joke

same thing happened to me, yesterday i won alot of matches when i play at 12 pm, even with people with much higher score than me, and all of the sudden, today.. i played 11 matches, and lost all of them.. even with people with 200 score lower than me.. i dont know what happened to me, i just so careless now.. drinking alot of water.. eat.. sleep.. doesnt help at all.. i hope this is temporary :c
Your grade says otherwise. No offence.
well, i play with people with same grade as me.. so it doesnt matter.. even if i have 1500 score.. i can still experience this
It is strange, I am only a 900 noob player. But I can easily play and lose 100 points one day then the next easily gain the 100 points back, It happened to me only last night lost over 100 points then this morning i win 14 of 17 matches and gained it back. its like some days you're just bad it makes no sense that its what you eat etc as I literally always eat rubbish food. It makes more sense to me that its some kind of matchmaking algorithm, It is more rare for me to win and lose the odd game its always like a streak of wins followed by a streak of losses. Anyway at my level of chess I don't take it too seriously. I just play for fun, but I obviously play to win too. So the losing streaks can be frustrating. Be interesting to know what the real cause is.

You write interesting posts and sometimes I want to respond on your own forum topics - but unfortunately for some reason I find that I'm blocked on your pages.
I wonder why this is so?
