I’m getting serious hot vibes in here….

Thankfully I have the remote.

It's hot here. Where's my ac?

It appears @CooloutAC has returned ...

many good points and when i do they just leave if they win so almost everyone who offers it just wants to get back at you but if you had a good game were you both did good then you can decide if you want to

That too is part of our tradition here.

It's awkward. I'm not playing OTB with a friend or a family member. I didn't walk into the other room and offer to play a few games of chess. I connected to a remote server that set me up with a complete stranger to play one game. My obligation to that stranger is to not abort the game, to not cheat, and to take in stride mistakes like mouse slips or disconnections. I'm also obligated to be civil in chat, if I have that on. But I'm not obligated to have chat turned on, to accept a draw, to resign, or to play more than one of those games. These are just boundaries.

Chess.com is your family now.  You've connected.  You've been assimilated.

That would be one hefty family plan phone bill.

I am not scared of a rematch, I just don't wanna play another game against the opponent, usually it's burn out.

i dont understand the people who dont rematch. in my opinion they lack sportsmanship

People don't want to play an engine because someone got their ego bruised.

Its an unwritten rule that some think exist and some dont.  To each his own.

I don't do a re match if I won. When I win even if it is by the skin of my teeth I still won and they lost it is time for us to go our separate ways me to celebrate my victory and them to contemplate what they did wrong and play some one else. If I lost I also don't do re match normally. they beat me good for them  next person. I f we sit there obsessing over the same person we will never improve.

Why do you want rematches from your opponents instead of just starting a new game?
idilis

we all need to earn the respect of random internet tough guys.
