Why are speedruns even allowed?

I can tell which coolout is which. And one coolout is cooler than the other.
Ubik42
How many chess books do I own….omg. I own a Benko gambit book from Pal Benko. I bet you can’t buy it today.
Ubik42
Yes coolout you are improving as you can see by your rating graph, you know, the same one you keep trying to put up as evidence that speed runs cause your rating to fluctuate.

Trolling 101.
Ubik42
If the rating is meaningless than how come you just used it 4 posts ago as proof you were improving?

Eeeeyaahhh
Ubik42
This makes more sense than most of your other posts, frankly. This is at an adult level I can with.
Ubik42
Obviously Ii e referring to the bell curve post. that was good!
JosheloNeirdo

It is trying to get to a certain rating as fast as possible. Usually doing it with a challenge, like only using a certain opening.

Ubik42
Coolout 2, are you sure you aren't just cutting and pasting your responses they all sound the same.

Bad.

At your level, anyone who takes advantage of a blunder will seem like a deity.

I ask again, what chess book have you read and what have you learned? I am curious.
senagastya21

Um i usually thought speedrun meant that starting from ur current rating and going to a certain rating in a certain time but i dindnt know that you had to do it with multiple accounts

Ubik42
So if you got info from one video, stands to reason you can get info from other videos too.

The Silman endgame book good stuff. I reviewed it recently up through the A sections.

How exactly is my profile suspect... at all. Once again you are imagining things.

First of all those pictures and your comments are extremely trollish.   And the fact your account when dormant for a long time and when you came back it shot up in a straight line 300 points is suspect.    lol  I think your profile is an example though  why the rating system is so crazy here especially at lower levels.

My rating did not shoot up 300. My lowest recently was 1855. I was playing other games. The pictures I just put since it's cute/funny. I am not here to troll.

playing those other games made you better chess?  2558-2838 in almost a straight line lol.  You sure are trolling the hell out of me defending cheating.

That's his puzzle rating you doofus😂

You say this community is full of immature kids, but that’s taking only this forum in mind. You can’t judge something based off of one forum. You could say that about any fandom. Join a random minecraft server, they curse and ban you, is the entire minecraft community suddenly horrible?

His rapid rating shot straight up in a line too after a steady decline. He just got better at everything in fact,  because its a puzzle rating we can't really say the competition changed can we.   Ty for bringing that up.   he quit and sold his soul to the devil like Robert Johnson or something.   Even if not I really hope chess.com is dealing properly with dormant accounts.   but I doubt it at this point.

He played 150 games in 5 days, not in a straight line and not by 300 points. Besides he simply got back to the rating he had been at before, didn't achieve any new heights. Seems to me you are misreading and misinterpreting those statistics in order to fit your agenda and prove your point, even using pictures on the guy's profile as some sort of proof. You're being more ridiculous than your imposter😂

I believe this forum is a microcosm of the whole community.  I never played minecraft I can't comment on it.  But I do know this is a problem in most online gaming communities.  Part of the reason as I said earlier is people don't respect online gaming as much as they do athletic sports, especially in North America.  Part of it is the anonymity,  part of it is the fact they think video games are for children part of it is they feel its less physically demanding then athletic sports so somehow less worthy.   What exacerbates the situation on chess.com is the fact they allow speedruns.

I just dropped 200 points in a few days. You have opened my eyes, I decided not to blame myself and my extremely sucky chess, instead, I think it's the fault of Hikaru's viewers and dormant accounts doing speedruns. It doesn't matter they blunder as much or more than me and I just don't know how to deal with it, I can't have competitive matches this way.

I'm thinking about starting a club on chess.com, Speedrun victims, we could all hang out, moan and winge and cry and waste our time together there. We could also have nice competitive games, we would make sure not to go too hard on each other. Always play two games with one another, win one, lose one and if someone started winning too much, we'd kick them out for being a cheater and speedrunner. Our collective elo would stay 400 forever, we'd learn nothing, but wouldn't it be a nice competitive experience?😂

Ubik42
I can no longer tell the difference between coolout 1 and coolout 2, the parody target is just as ridiculous as the parodier.
fluffytitbabbler

Come on, don't tell me you don't like my idea, the competitiveness of our matches would never fluctuate, and watching speedruns would be strictly forbidden.

Rating isn't everything bud,  Speedrun videos are also partly to blame for your flawed thinking.  Which teach you to value rating as the sole importance of the game.

Nowhere here have I put any more importance on elo than it deserves. I only talked about it when answering your posts, where you yourself talked about it. Besides, you don't even understand how elo works, and what it means, you proved it from the beginning with your babbling about 500 points difference between here and lichess

Ubik42
it’s really a made up problem. I think coolout will see it in time. Eventually.

I wouldn't bet much on it. People who like to hold the moral high ground rarely change their minds.

fluffytitbabbler

You always have some mysterious someone, someone might almost think you're making stuff up, or straight-up lying, not me though, I believe you😂
