Probably because, they would get a million of messages in thier inbox's a day(but that can't be an excuse, since they would be able to change thier privacy policy...) or something, I dnt knw.

But, why?

They are, but they're on ICC. ICC was the first chess server, so they had the good players early on, and since then strong players go to the place where the strong players are.

They like 1.e4 AND 1.d4

There are plenty of games by famous players in DBs that happen to be dead. Are you saying the currently alive player's games are not being put into the databases? If so, I would be surprised.

You childish. Do I really have to say "alive" famous chess players, obvouisly, alive.

"NOT GAMES!!!"

I'm talking about, some famous people like Carlsen or Aronian or Kramnik being in chess.com etc.

We're off to a good start so far.

They don't play on chesscube or chess.com, 99% of GM's, Masters, National Masters and other advanced players are on ICC.

Carlsen and Nakamura also play there, usually every day. Their usernames are Smallville and cfaceindisguise, their rating is above 3500.

I smoked pot with Nick De Firmian once in Berkeley in the early 1980's. True story.

ICC hm...

but what does ICC stand for?

and why do they play there?

"Why are'nt famous chess players not in online chess websites?"

That's a double negative. You are asking "Why are famous chess players in (sic) online chess websites."

Nakamura still plays there regularly, but Carlsen hasn't used that account since 2011. I don't know if he has another account that isn't well-known, or he doesn't play on ICC any longer.

Does anybody here have a playchess account? I've always wondered how many GMs they have compared to ICC.

who is Nick De Firmian?

I once defeated Carlson in a game of blitz chess on the ICC. His computer went out on him4 times and I managed to win on time, thought my position was close to being lost. I kept sending him draws and I think that messed his computer up and he ended up losing. Thats when I woke up in a cold sweat and had to turn on a light to make sure it was really all a dream!

TheArtofWar82

As said - everyone's on ICC.

Get with the times, son.

Probably because it would make them look bad.  Would a real Olympian compete in the Special Olympics?

Author of MCO and why I play 1...c5 against 1.f4.

Buzz_Saw

If I were a famous chess player I would want to remain anonymous.

I'm sure they are, but not using their real name. For all you know I might be Kamsky, but using a pseudonym. Tongue Out
