Why Chess.com MUST allow choosing sides

Let's say you watch a game online, Magnus vs someone and you really want to try Magnus offence with white, perhaps his defence with black...
So let's say you want to try the offence with white. However, after you click new game, all your fun to play goes all the window as you will play 3 straight games with black.
When finally you start with white, you already got tired of the 3 previous games.
Some of which were WHITE's who played to draw, probably wanted to try black but ended up with white.
As you start aborting games, you get into a low pool of players which will match you with people 200- your rating...
Why not test out choosing sides ?

I assume too many people would choose white. This has at least two negative effects:

1) Wait times for games become longer
2) Ratings become less accurate

Both effects are (probably) relatively minor though.

You can choose a side when playing unrated. When playing rated- a fair rating only makes sense by playing 50/50.
