Why is chess fun?

Why is chess fun...

I don't know, but I do know that some think it is so fun that they play competitively, making lots of money.

Mmmmmmm... money. You know, I like money. Once I slept with a pile of money... oh, sorry. 

Chess is boring. Chess is tedious. Chess is complicated. Chess typically doesn't get you a whole lot of money....

Usally anyway. 

Like I said, I like money. But playing chess doesn't get you much money unless you want to be called nerd the rest of your life... unless your grown up or homeschooled but if grown up... time is running out.....

Money.... Fun... Enjoyment....

Money vs. Enjoyment. Fight!

Enjoyment wins, yet why? How? Is it cheating? How is chess addicting? Why is chess addicting? How many times have I mentioned the word hot dogs? (Wait, thats 2 words...)
