Because you didn't consider your opponents response.
My opponent's response skipped my mind for one second in which i played the move. And that was my point. That our inbuilt chess intincts make us weaker towards the end of a game (i m only saying this for ~1500 or below).
To get better at this I will have to make changes to the way i aproach a problem.What do you think?
Anyway, i was a bit pressed for time (about one minute) but it was about same for both the players so it should hv been enough to force a win.
It seems to me that there is an unnecessary drive to grab free material while playing a game which makes you act without thinking first.
