Why do everyone play e4 e5

1 e4 accomplishes more than all other 19 possible moves, even slightly more than 1 d4.
1...e5 accomplishes more than all other 19 possible replies, even slightly more than 1...c5.

Not everybody does. I don't respond with 1.e5 very often, but other factors come into play.

if you were playing a girl, would you focus on something else and not play e5?  Would you try to do a sicilian defense instead ? that is 1.e4 c5 which i found out on Monday

That's a sexist comment isn't it. No I don't play the Sicilian very often, when I do it's the off beat Quinteros variation that is 1.e4 1.c5 .Nf3 3.Qc7. If I was playing a girl I'd play what I usually play 1.c6 the Caro Kann, Alekhine's Defence 1.Nf6, or maybe modern defence 1.g6. If I know my opponent's opening repertoire is poor with 1.e4 1.e5 I'll go with that. But I prefer playing, and also playing against 1.d4. If I was playing against an intersex person, I may try the Pirc Defence that's 1.d6 ....

But how do you counter the "intersex" type ? I've heard they're also very good at chess. 

I feel like every single game I played (where I started as white). Probably uses the move e4 ;-;
