i was playing a game and the opponent talked- he asked if i am a girl i said yes and he laughed and said wow, i was like what?, he said girl dont generally like or know to play smart games like chess- and I defeated him!!!!!

one of my interests is to talk to people, if I wanted to play chess quietly I would do that on lichess

Absolutely agree, glad to see im not the only one who uses the chat feature during games. But i also know that my need to talk during games comes from a bad place, also i realized time ago that being bored is my own problem and cant blame pple for not having the same feeling. But its still refreshing to see somebody trashtalk me back during games, It kinda sparks my interest in chess. But when the boredom hits hard theres really nothing i can do to just enjoy chess. The forums are actually one of the only reasons im still im chess.com sometimes
