I don't accept rematches straight away in long blitz/standard because I analyse the game immediately.
I never rematch if I am climbing.
When I win, I want to enjoy my victory.
When I lose I tilt, I don't want to lose again.
I think rematches are important, but I have learned from experience that on the internet its just a bad feeling to rematch, win or lose.
It can be considered impolite to ask for a second game from someone you have beaten. If they want a rematch, they can offer it. However, it is also unreasonable to believe that someone should always accept rematch requests: it is their right to decline.

Yes, I agree:
I do not like rematches most of the times.
When I win, I want to enjoy my victory.
When I lose I tilt, I don't want to lose again.
Most of times, I just want to take a break to avoid losing the next game due mental tiredness.
I have a thread to analyse lots of my games, with comments and diagrams:
And another thread about a chess movie:

What does it matter if someone refuses a rematch? You do realize that you can press that "Start Game" button and find a new game, right? What does opponent even matter in an anonymous format like the internet...just play the board and quit whining.
Stop making sense! lol

The tiredness answer doesn't apply to many people here because they're playing 25-400 games at once. They clearly don't want a break.
They just don't want to play you again.
Why do so many people insist on rehashing this lame topic every week?
It's one of half a dozen such topics. I believe people do it to stir up trouble.
