I play on chess.com solely to improve, so that one day I might be a good player...

googled this, and because playing in yahoo lags. Chess.com here is smooth and has a good chat box. You can also view  your past games and there's a forum. that's why i like chess.com

Above most other things, this is better competiton than the 2 people I know who can also play chess...

it's fun! I enjoy the site, and lots of people who play in brisotl chess league are also on here, so can socialise and play games against them

Because C.c has the lamest forums of any chess site which gives me time to concentrate on my game, and Erik is the weirdest dude I know. I get to play in my little French maids outfit and no one seems to mind but  ilikeflags but he bores easily ;-)

And the reason I enjoy turn based chess over live is...

If someone plays an opening you don't know you are able to look it up in a database or a book. If you are smart about and just dont look at the moves but try figure out what kind of position come from the lines it really helps improve your opening play. Which in my case really needs to be improve since OTB I kind of rely on the middlegame and tatics to get advantage.

I have over a 100 games going on (5 days a move mostly) so any time I wish to sit down and play some chess there always  games for me to move in. and when i wish for a break i can simply stop even if i want a break that last for days.

I like chess.com , because i get to play chess , and talk too people ,

the forum can be great as well ,

and erick and staff do a great job keeping this site going ,

live chess is the best ,, now ,

I play here because none of my family play chess...and this is the best chess site (in my opinion) around...and because of the community!

Correspondence chess players seem more nice than live chess. Not sure why...

Correspondence chess stimulates the commercial sydrome moreso than the guardian syndrom. Read Babbit's book on social syndromes.

I like chess.com because of what they have.

But what they have, most of the time, seems to have problems.

It could be quite troublesome here, but what I need patience, which luckily, I have.

i play here becouse i LOVE playing chess, but no one in my surounding doesn't. And I am very competitive person, i like to prove myself all the time
