When you are actually playing a game, nobody waves a red flag and tells you a tactic is available. Likewise with falling into them. Are you actively looking at checks, captures, and threats for every move?
Why does my otb rating drop when my chess.com rating rises?

Daily chess is different. You can use tons of time, an analysis board, opening books, etc.
IMO even 10 minute chess is better practice for OTB than daily chess (but ideally you play live games with at least 30 minutes per side for OTB tournament practice).

Tactics ratings are enormously inflated. With chess.com tactics at 1600 you're probably rated something like 1000 OTB right?

That is so true
Are you practicing online the same time control ad your otb? If you play 5000 blitz games then you go to a slow time control otb the skills will not translate.

I agree with Farm_Hand. Daily games are not great for OTB practice (but time controls <10 min aren‘t either)

And why wouldn‘t you want to improve your tactics rating? Unless it is over 3000 you can improve a lot
