Why does my rating vary across concurrent games?

This has bugged me for while. I usually have several games going at the same time, either amongst friends or tournaments, and each game shows my rating with a slightly different give or take a few points.

Example: In four games right now my rating shows...

1531 vs 639

1530 vs 1505

1515 vs 1493

1548 vs 1640

Since all games are running at the same time, shouldn't my rating be consistent across all boards? By the way these values fluctuate daily even if no games have ended. Now that's what I call floating point wink.png

Seriously, though... any thoughts?

That's so weird. 1512 was from a few games ago. Here are some screen shots of one tourney game and one casual game. On each game my rating shows a difference of one point. 1530 and 1531. Like I mentioned above, sometimes the dependency is fifteen points or more, up or down. I'm just curious about why that happens and if anyone else has noticed it amongst multiple games.

Case and point. Here are two screen shots of a game two hours apart. The first one shows my rating to be 1531 and my opponents score to be 679. Now the game is over in my favor, it shows my score at 1513 and my opponent at 676.  While my other two games still show my rating as 1530. I haven't lost a game within the last week or two, but I have won. If anything, it should go up.
