Why does the computer say 14.g3 is ''brilliant''?

In my 990 ELO mind, this is the only move to avoid checkmate. Shouldn't it just be called ''Best move''? I'm wondering what makes the engine decide it's a ''brilliant'' move in general, not just in this instance.

A brilliant move is one where the engine at first doesn’t think it’s best because it’s not obvious. Then after thinking about it a deep depth it realizes it was genius.

So basically it’s a move that would outsmart the computer.
