why i hate timed chess

Ugh i hate the ap. I like playing on my laptop you get to see the whole screen and less mouse slips and using the ap on phone or tablet. Less errors that what was stated ^^^

I like to put down the piece on the board in daily and look at it before I say "go", so every once in a while i will have the habit in 10 min chess put the piece down and wham it was a blunder.
I absolutely feel you. I've proved to myself that I still can't play short time controls recently. I also prefer laptop. It's more like the otb experience we grew up with with less fiddly miniature technology. My plan is to play more 30 minute games and stop missing the key moves at that speed. I think that's doable. Acclimatise to that and maybe try 10 mins again one day. If not I'll stop trying to hang with the cool kids and just stick to playing daily.

i have done 30 min, I still seem to rush the moves, probably would never run out of time but that is my issue

I think there are two small adjustments to make-
1. Don't pick up the piece in live chess/be very careful not to click down on it, if it's happening to you so much. It is a simple behaviour thing that you can control.
2. If you feel like your method of playing moves on daily games is affecting you, just don't use that function like that. Use the analysis function in the Daily game UI, decide, then make your move. That's how I've always done it. On my games, making the move on the board before hitting the confirm button is my final consideration and moment to reflect, and is seperate from the process in rapid or blitz. TLDR Don't do that in live chess.
I realized why I hate and one of the reasons my daily chess rating is much better than my 10 minute chess. I like to put down the piece on the board in daily and look at it before I say "go", so every once in a while i will have the habit in 10 min chess put the piece down and wham it was a blunder. Is there a way in longer time controls to still hit the confirm button?
