Why is GM chess so boring?

Yes ....chess is boring....this is why I started playing wierd unknown openings so that I can trick those book nerds xD

Chess isn't like football which caters to the masses where mindless fans can follow and be entertained. To truly appreciate chess one must have a decent understanding of the game, and to understand the subtleties and high level strategies of grandmaster games one must be at a certain level of skill.

I think that they should force GMs to play at least as many open tournaments as restricted tournaments. That would allow more non-elite players to face the elite as well as forcing them to get several wins to win tournaments and maintain their rating.

Chess is boring because it's just a matter of having a good memory! Try Go/Baduk/Weiqi !!!!!!!!

If the game has so many mindless fans, meaning the game is interesting/beautiful. Sport shall be real time, not turn based. Go for E-sport or do some real sports out there, you will find those adrenaline flows in you body that created hype, anger even tear. If this game (chess) called high strategies game, just let computer do... Football or any sports out there, even use the best strategy, physical, mental until weather are being factors for a win. Chess only consist of strategy, it can't be called sport. That is why, Chess is never or being a sport game in Olympic.

Don't be sad, even we love to play Chess, don't expect too much on chess. Chess would be like Uno, Bridge, Ludo or something like (just a board game that played by the world community)
