Why is my Rapid rating so low compared to my blitz?

My rapid is significantly worse, and in a longer time control why is it harder to play well?

Because it's more time for scums to use engine attacks on ya. Little gits done it to me the other day but lucky enough they  got caught & I got me stolen points back. But I am sure many slip through the net
