I'm pretty sure its the latter, DJM.
Why is the Team Match leaderboard so much harder to climb than vote chess?

Thanks. That was my thought process too; I was wondering if there was something else going on as well.
Let’s just say that you get MUCH more points by playing in normal and bigger matches rather than 1 man matches carried by LGP...
Or me xD

Oh...really? I thought you said in an earlier forum where I asked about points that all TM's counted for the same amount of points? That was kind of my whole strategy...I would have needed to know this a while ago. Could you please explain how it works to me? Is it 1 point per player, or something like that?

Every game you win + 1 point, draw, plus 1/2 point, loss, 0 points
Wow, you're right Leon! Thanks so much! You've answered the one burning question about club leadership that nobody else has been able to answer for me! Thank you! Expect a lot more big matches for NARWHALS...I had no idea that it was based on amount of boards!
Thank you!!!
keep in mind NARWALS might field 100 players , but team x may only field 10 , so only 20 games are played then , you could use match parameters 1-100 to get round it but this means you will face teams as strong as you in player depth so its not certain that will garner you more points on match leaderboard

You are right, that's a good point. Are you penalized in any way for losses?

I want more 1 man matches
We'll still do some of those, but not as many. I want to climb the leaderboard.

Yeah, I was messing with you then (this was back when we hated each other). Leon is right. You can’t do one player matches and climb the leaderboard fast.
Oh...wow! OK...I am embarrassed for believing you! Well, there goes my whole club management philosophy! Good thing I have a trustworthy friend like Leon who gives me good information, lol!
You could have told me once we were friends...but thanks for admitting it.
its cause vote chesses you have vicarisly and he just amazing
ya
Yes, plus we've played some weak clubs who have made mistakes/blunders.
id guess yes , it penalizes losses , but this is chess and losses are lessons to be learned from I find
OK, thanks. How exactly does it penalize losses, do you lose points?
Actually I think you don't. But your opponent does and you don't gain anything if you lose. but its the individual games that count not the amount of matches, so a better idea would be to have many people in matches and not one-player lgp matches

OK, thanks! That is a good idea, we will do this in the future!
I have a club, and I've noticed that with 20+ TM wins and only 5-6 VC wins, we are top 1000 in Vote Chess but not even top 2000 in Team Matches. Why is this? Is it because TM's generally finish faster, or because more clubs play team matches? I am curious about this.
