Do you realize that along with play comes analysis and discussion about various positions that occur in the game? Can you do all that by clicking the "play" button?

I locked it. It's a long standing policy (though not stated in tos) that you can't play chess in the forums. The site provides ample services to play the game elsewhere, and we don't want the forums clogged up with games by people that really just want to be seen playing chess.

Why? I wouldn't mind people playing on the forums. Maybe I'll learn something. At this point I'll try anything.
