Actually this is common thing for all those people who can't accept their defeat (due to maybe their ego) IRRESPECTIVE of the country. Hope you will understand this simple fact and won't put specific labels...

so basically leads to more people from indiaabandoning

Yep. I skip indian players because 9 times out of 10 they abandon. The 10th time they plead for a draw then abandon.

I've had this problem with players regardless of national origin. Thankfully it seems like chess.com servers are better at detecting when people are abandoning/disconnecting, and it resigns for them automatically.
of course there are self respected Indian players too. but most of them I played with they abandon the game just before checkmate. is it common thing in India?!
