I don’t know, too. But at least I have my Stockfish16 says: 1... Re8 2. Rh3 Bxh3 3. Qxb3
Qxb3 4. Ke2 Qxb2+ 5. Kf1 Rxe3 6. Kg1
Qxf2+ 7. Kh1 Bxg2+ 8. Bxg2 Qxg2#

Re8 isn't check. If you mean Rd8, that's not mate either since there's a bishop on d6 (that is what was moved last) and there's a number of different blocks
