Why there are very few GMs in the daily chess leaderboard?

It seems GMs are not interested in playing daily chess. I see daily chess to be a very interesting format. We can play tens or hundreds of games simultaneously and play in multiple tournaments and have fewer mistakes as compared to Blitz/Rapid games.

Because that isn't the kind of chess most GMs play.

Yes, that's a fact but the question is why shouldn't they? It's an interesting format. It's like playing a test match in cricket which is losing its popularity through the masses but still loved by great cricket players. I know, it's not an apple to apple comparison but I believe daily chess format has a great future which most people can't see as of now.

If played correctly, it is a time consuming format. Most GMs are probably more concerned with improving their classical games and using time not playing OTB and faster online chess with studying and practice.

I love correspondence chess, but it's no surprise to me why GMs aren't into it. GMs dedicate a lot of their lives to chess, and I think most want to get something more out of it than just the joy of playing. With correspondence chess, there aren't lots of high profile cash prize tournaments happening year round. You can't play hundreds of games with followers and fans In correspondence chess. You can't really stream correspondence chess for entertainment purposes. You can't even win all that often since the highest levels of correspondence chess with today's technology has very few games that don't end in draws. Correspondence chess isn't flashy, isn't in person, isn't played in front of crowds and so won't have the same atmosphere. You won't make as big a name for yourself. How many people, even here where there are big chess fans, can name the current world champion in correspondence chess? Or even a former world champion?  It works for me, but I'm an amateur, balancing a non-chess career and parenting two young kids can only play chess and an environment where it's ok if I get interrupted for minutes to hours at a time and isn't all that interested in gaining a following, fans, or clients because of my chess ability.

I'm honestly surprised that there are GMs even in the live leaderboard.

If I played chess professionally, the last thing I'd do in my leisure time would be playing chess.
