Why there is no 50 moves rule on chess.com ?

I think there is, but you have to claim it. If noone presses the draw button you can play until Kingdom come I guess!

actually the server allows 500 moves at the max :)

The server should have called a draw by 3 move repetition around move 55

Pulled this from wikipedia. The keyword is claim I think.

In chess and some other abstract strategy games, the threefold repetition rule (also known as repetition of position) states that a player can claim a draw if the same position occurs three times, or will occur after their next move, with the same player to move. The repeated positions need not occur in succession. The idea behind the rule is that if the position is repeated three times, no progress is being made.

Again, the draw must be claimed, whether it's 3-fold repetition or 50 moves without progress. The server doesn't "call" a game drawn. It's up to the player to make the claim.

Which applies to normal OTB games as well if I'm not mistaken. I love this rule, because at least it places that option at the player's discretion, rather than an adjudicator/referee etc
