Hi everyone.
I played a game with a 900 elo bot.
I analyzed it.
And somehow, the bot use its QUEEN to capture a bishop,it didn't have to do that. Look at the postion:

The 20th black's move isn't.... clever.
But the analyze engine think it is a excellent move:
Plz explain this=(

My best guess is the computer was trying to compensate for some scummy checkmate pattern that no one under 2000 can possibly see or its just trying to get what it can for the lost queen and position. either way that bot played like utter trash.

actually I figured it out, its not any kind of scheme that the bot saw, it was the fact that its programmed to play like a 900, therefore it plays to the level its programmed at. 900s tend to make those mistakes. But this bot was playing like a 500.

Because otherwise he will lose his queen and some other material anyway or get mated through complicated lines. Getting rid of 2 attacking pieces right away makes him last a little bit longer. I don't really get previous answer about 900 elo that just plays like that, question was about analysis engine, which is of course not a 900, but 3000+

Does this qualify as general chess discussion ?
