Haven't been waiting. Don't care. Levy is great for entertainment and people just getting into the game, but when it comes to high level chess advice, there are so many better content creators out there.
But to your question. He could become a GM but I don't think he can while he still prioritizes youtube and chessly.
I guess he is too focused on the content when you realize that he makes content EVERY DAY

I do agree that he is peak for content but isn't good for advanced chess knowledge.
Because in his videos he does always talk about the low elo brain so he's probably making content for the triple digits

He lost his shot at being a GM when he sold out to clickbait culture for views. To be fair, he actually does make a lot of money milking Magnus' existence and making fun of noobs, but that doesn't earn you any of the requirements to being a Grandmaster.

It's not what he does, but rather that he does it too much. He's too devoted to content creation. Not to mention, even if he does decide to lock in and take a hiatus from his channel, he's only rated 2300 and is around the age where a player's rating typically stops increasing and starts decreasing instead, so he'd probably have a snowball's chance in hell of getting to 2500.
