We will find out at Sinquefleld. It's unlikely even if he still plays at his current insane form but it's certainly on the cards.

Yes he will.

The main problem is that when he wins games he won't get many rating points and every draw will take away quite a lot since he's playing people 100 rating points below him.

The points gained when you win is more than the points lost when you draw against someone 100 points lower than you. So as long as he doesn't lose too much, I'd say he will cross the 2900 rating barrier. His performance in 2019 has been overwhelmingly dominant.

Yes, but he will draw some games so he will have to win more to jump to 2900. He only got 9.7 rating points from Croatia despite an insane performance so even if he is still in good form that only jumps it 2890ish. I don't know if he's playing in the Europian club cup or the world cup knockout but he doesn't have many chances left to get to 2900 as his form will eventually run out.

Winning 9.7 rating points from one tournament! Well if Carlsen could keep up that strong performance, then play in 2 or 3 more such tournaments and he will have 2900 in the bag! Keep in mind that he has played in 8 such tournaments in 2019 and won all of them convincingly without a loss. I think losing is the only thing that can stop Carlsen now.

Form doesn't last forever, unless he becomes god, he will need another tournament after Sinquefleld to get to 2900, tournaments like the world cup and European club cup (which he played last year but not sure if he will this year) are hard to gain rating in since he will play lower rated players where draws will put a severe dent in his rating so he will have to play really well there also. I cannot see him continuing his great form afterwards though.

It's still possible nevertheless and i'd very much like to see him get to 2900 but if I was a betting man I'd bet against it happening in the short foreseeable future.
