bump. I know someone has to know the answer. I honestly can't find an article or anything explaining to me why there were two world championship years in a row but not next year.

Could someone please explain to me why there won't be a World Championship next year? Does FIDE keep changing their mind about having it every 1 year or every 2 years? I thought I had the qualifying process and the candidates tournament and everything figured out finally, but then I saw there isn't a world championship next year and I'm back to square one and completely confused.
