I know one of his hands was deformed, but other than that, what kind of genetic problems did he have? He was "frail"? That's not a disease. Kramnik has a real disease.
I never get why Lasker is so underrated, here not even in the top dozen of 15 World Champions. He won every tournament he played after Hastings 1895 up until Moscow 1925 apart from one where he finished second, won New York 1924 well ahead of Capa and Alekhine in spite of being 55+, lost against Alekhine for the first time when he was 65+, finished ahead of Capa in every tournament until his late 60s, won numerous title matches etc etc.
