Worst feeling in chess

Curious to know what others feel. My personal worst is when my opponent resigns and I don’t know why (*usually to see much later that there was a glaringly obvious mate in 1 that I would have missed)

Worst for me is an out of tempo move in a winning position that costs me the game… a ton of work just to blunder it all when it counts.

Mine is getting a stalemate when I was in a winning position.  I don’t get it as much but the engine still gives me that sometimes when I practice with it.

one, when i lost because i made blunders which were random quick moves during opening because i was so desperate to win on time in bullet

two, when i won to weak players at ease because they made blunders, giving very high accuracies

both really gave me the worst feeling...

At my level, dominating the opponent to get checkmate suddenly because of a stupid blunder...

Back rank checkmate comes to mind, haha.

I recently did that to one person, haha.  I was feeling relieved.  He probably felt poor.  https://www.chess.com/game/live/24687653627

Being up 20 point of material, and getting flagged in blitz and losing on time

Blundered my queen right into the path of someone else's queen a few weeks ago and it still. eats. at. me.

Game review almost always makes me feel bad for one thing or another. Most common is when I discover a terrible mistake that I made that could have been disastrous....but my opponent missed it and I got away with it.
