I didn’t say it’s not good, I said it’s incredibly bland.

The London is a worthless pile of crap if you want to win or become a better chess player. But I can see how it might be a good opening in bullet chess.

But if your only goal is to survive the opening without doing any homework, then I suppose it is ok.

It depends on the player. Some love its solidity, its clarity and how quickly it gets you into a familiar structure. To them, it’s not bland — it’s beautiful and practical.

Yes, The London System often leads to solid but somewhat predictable positions, lacking the sharp, tactical complexities found in many other openings. Its straightforward development can be perceived as uninspired and less exciting for players seeking dynamic play.

True enough, ChessMasteryOfficial. But White should realize that this clarity "simplicity" also makes it easy for Black.

There are no bland openings. Only bland players.
