Yet another Stats project: Correlation between years of chess experience compared to USCF/FIDE ratin

I'm back with another statistics project, and this time, it's about correlation. So, I decided to choose the topic: is there a correlation between years of chess experience vs USCF/FIDE rating. There should be a correlation, but then again, there are those outliers aka super prodigies, so hopefully this will be interesting. So, please post your rating and the number of years of chess you played (Put number of years for competitive chess). Thanks in advance.

You're going to choose if there's a correlation between experience and rating? :P

Number of years I played competitive chess: ~10

FIDE rating: 2219

I misstated. I chose the topic. Not if there is an actual correlation.

just to be awkward

hmm, played for a year when i just started, lost all in the first half, won all in the second half, got grade ~1100

went to uni played for half a year - no idea even how strong my opponents were because of lame bcf grades.

didnt play at all for maybe 3 years

started again (stupidly difficult given i'd ony played for a year before, wasnt very good, and only stopped for a few years, but I could barely calculate simple exchanges to start with for some reason) - 1382

after another year, ie now, I think it will be ~1500 but it's not out yet.

This time next year, probably lower than that.

So i guess that's 3.5 years but with a big gap in the middle
