Your biggest barrier

It bigtime can increase your skill with standard, when you've learned enough what's good strategy.

4 player chess does not help with your chess skills to much, but it is fun, as the strategy shifts (this is, at least, to my opinion).

I know this quite personally because I used to be 3000+ rated in 4 player chess

Lol I've at 1400 have won games, months ago and my former acc, with the three opponents over 2300, and one reason my ratings drop so much is because I am absolutely tired of like 8 consecutive of being the same color games, so I the first 3 moves sac my Queen and resign when that took place ever, and more so whenever that color was myself, but more recently I've been playing it more often, and so far this new acc I yet have had such consecutive ones, so that's great alright. 😂 (ratings don't that much to me mean anything)

But I disagree that you do not gain, because just the fact of how much goes on, and the more you play it, work what works for you and the way more pieces more going on and mass more a board of course opens your recognizing much more than with standard, the few layers of moves, blocks you only are optioned, with the 4 player mass more a broader board and options, things to see, especially with just you one minute and whatever second lapse, maybe a 15 sec setup, but just that alone, the needing to quickly mindset all, much of 4 so increases just standard because of what goes on.

When I play online, I never read beyond 5 plies, usually only 3 plies. When OTB, I read at least 6 plies or more.

I just don't have enough time. In order for most people to be active, I have to be up at the worst of times! I should be getting sleep, but there is so much activity during the night.

You are in CANADA! How would an American president apply to you?

What's your current biggest barrier to chess improvement?

For me, it's lack of time when I'm not tired.

As an adult with job, family etc, it's very difficult to find an hour when it's not early/late, I'm not tired, and there's no distractions. yea same

So most of my chess activities, whether playing or puzzles or game reviews or reading or whatever, occur in a rushed, tired, or distracted state.

What's your biggest barrier at the moment?
