your perfered MOVE !?!

No I dont mean the opening(s) you play and im NOT asking if you prefer aggressive moves or defensive but I mean a specific move or piece you love to move almost like your signatur to the game. some examples from famous players are

how Bobby Fischer always liked to play g4 even sometimes when it would be slightly bad

Or how...

Tarrasch loved to use his Light Squared bishop as white or involve it in activities he would do on the board

I for one sometimes play the move h4 in random type positions and surprisingly it comes in handy later on alot of times!

My older brother admitted at one point that if he can't think of a manuver he'll plant his knight on e5 and keep it there cause it's usually just good to have it there.

So do you have a somewhat prefered move or square or piece you usually like to use ? Lately im really starting to think everyone has one wheather they know it or notWink

For white I play d4 first almost always.

For black I always play e6. You can even check my game archives. Lol

do you mean both knights on the fifth or fourth rank?

ahh nice seems like a stretgy as a whole similar to how Tigran Petrosian would usually aim to control the light squares of the board and win that way.

@ Last_Sire03- I dont think you quite get the topic of this fourm cause what you are stating is just the openings you like but not a perfered move whihc is generally not a opening the way im stating it.

There is something magical for me when I get a white knight into d6 or a black one into d3.

I know someone who plays a3 when its clearly not nesscary or needed or not sure why its played at all in some middlge game positions.

Theres something about my dark squre bishop that I jsut love most games I play it's almost always in the endgame with  my other pieces.

For some reason I love playing a2-a4 followed by Bc1-a3, even though it almost never happens. It has something beautiful to it which I can't really explain. I also love when I come up with good analysis and good reasons to play mysterious king moves, but only in quiet games where the king won't be in trouble anyway. Kg1-h1 is the obvious example.

On the other hand I hate playing Qd1-e2 in pretty much any position. Also Nf3-g5 makes me feel like a disgrace to the game of chess, unless there is a black pawn on h5 or beyond.

When I play White I like sacrificing my white bishop Bxf7+! check.  I know that it is worth three and I am only taking a pawn. So I lose two but Black can't castle.

When Playing Black the it's the reverse. Bxf3+ check.

Many times I manage to get two or more pawns . I try to follow it up and gain material.

I also like to place the Bishop on B3 or A2 and leave it there just like Bobby Fisher used to do always eyeballing the F7 square. Then all of a sudden the Bishop just wakes up during the game.

nice I forgot Fischer was known to do that.

Denver, I hate sacrificing any piece.  Pieces are my friends, possibly my only friends...

I really like playing NxQ.
