I'm looking forward to your see your chess videos. I have quite some experience making chess videos for YouTube. If you need any help let me know. My YouTube user name is Majnu2006.

Sugden1403

uritbon - if you want me to follow an event I will do it (no problem...) but the main purpose of this videos are to learn but people can interprete them however they wish!

Requests are now available... my username has been made and it is 'Sugden1403'...I am afraid the first video wont be able to be made untill around 4 hours time but from then onwards I will be hard at work so get your request in now...whose request will make my first ever video?

Sugden1403

ok I'm just taking requests now as I am home and able to make them so give me some requests! people!

immortalgamer

I appreciate your zeal for the game.  However to avoid a backlash from advanced players make sure your videos are targeted toward teaching beginners.  Just my advice.  I'm sure you'll do what you want.  Look forward to seeing what you've got in store.

Sugden1403

ok immortalgalmer can you give the first request for a video as I am just sitting here waiting because no-one is requesting anything...

phmilet

basic principles of chess strategy: how to create a plan and so on.

Sugden1403

ok you've got yourself a video!

immortalgamer

When I used to teach kids.  I would always start with development in the opening.  Most new players start moving in for an attack instead of learning proper development and why.

Sugden1403

you have yourself another video!

i will get in contact with you soon

For chess videos, this is excellent: http://www.chessvideos.tv/

Sugden1403

exigentsky that is not a useful comment because I am trying to promote my own chess videos so please leave that

Thank you, Freddie

Well Sugden just sent me a message. Apparently there's been a problem on his computer's audio, he should be getting back to us as soon as it's fixed.

Maybe you don't find it useful, but it may be helpful to others interested in chess videos. Anyway, you can post your videos on chessvideos.tv and have yet another avenue of promotion among a more targeted audience.

Sorry Sugden, the fella above has it spot on.

You can create videos for there too, and you have the added bonus that you can talk for as long as you want to! You aren't forced to talk about an issue in 10 minutes that may be more deserving of a 30 minute discussion.

Perhaps you could do condensed versions of your videos for Youtube and tell people to visit ChessVideos.tv to see the whole video, that way you get double the opportunity for people to see your videos online.

Creating videos is great for learning, it really reinforces your knowledge. I did three videos on the Cordel Defence variation of the Ruy Lopez, its helping me in a few games where someone has played 4.Bc5 and I can really go to war with them with confidence. Creating good videos can give you that same confidence so I hope it works for you.

Hint for you too - if you decide to post your own games, please post some losses too. I dont like people who just post wins and say 'I only lost because I made a blunder', the losses are more instructive to post if anything.

If you are to use youtube only for videos, take some tips from Jrobichess as he's great with explanation of things for beginners.

Good luck,

Frenchie501

Sugden1403

ok Frenchie thank you very much...I never realised that YouTube had max 10 minutes so when each requests has been fulfilled I will leave messages on here telling you the websites which they are on!

Sugden1403

i am very sorry mylizana but there is some technical problems but there will be sorted soon (next hour probably) and then it will be up and running!

thegab03

Sugden1403  why don't you simply brodcast your videos here? for it is a chess site after all!

Sugden1403

i could do that but all the videos here are just uploaded from Youtube so you will see them anyway !

I have now created my first ever video and I am afraid to say it is too long for youtube but it is on chessvideos.tv instead  (all my videos over 10 mins will be on here!)

...hope you enjoy and send me some requests!

it may not be uploaded by the directors for 20 mins (most)!
