1.0 after a game

With the new update, after each game there is a 1.0 on the profile picture of the winner, and a 0.0 on the profile picture of the loser. What does that represent and why did they add it?
That's the running score of wins/losses between the two players.
Interesting. Why the decimal? 0.5 for a draw?
