I play 10min games, and for the most part everything is fine and I don't get drop outs that often, its just that in the last two weeks or so I have had a run of them, both when I have been winning and losing games, now when I start a game I am getting a warning not to abort or leave games and to adhere to chess.com fair play policy.
As you say Marc7 a longer reconnect time could be put in place for longer timed games, lets face it, we want to win a game on our skill, not because the reconnect clock has timed out
I would like to voice my concerns about the 1 minute reconnect rule. I understand the reason for it, no one wants to sit there waiying for an abandoned game to time out.
My problem is that when I get disconnected from a game, it is because my internet has dropped out, not because I am losing and just abandon the game.
When my internet droppes out it takes a lot longer than 1 minute to reconnect, and by the time I get back to the game its over and I have lost.
Surley 1 minute it too short of a time for you to end the game like this, I would like to see an option where I get to set a reconnect time, and if another play agrees then they play me.
Thanks
Tony
