Hi, needing help with the 30-day money back guarantee here. Chess casual, daughter went ahead and bought a yearly subscription to premium. Don't play that often, so realised only when it got billed into my account after a week (no email, no warning.) Hoping possibly to get a refund since its a fairly large amount.

Asking 1.) How long does customer service usually take to respond? Also, 2.) Should I have to cancel my membership now, or will it automatically get cancelled when it gets refunded?

Yes, you should cancel. https://support.chess.com/article/585-how-does-membership-renewal-work. This will tell you how to cancel your auto-renewal.

There is a separate form to get a refund. https://support.chess.com/article/1963-request-a-refund

How long it takes can vary depending on the amount of inquiries that support has to handle.

In general, you should be able to get it in less than a week.

You need to use the link to support on the bottom of the page.

Once you do that, choose "Contact Support" .

Then "update or cancel subscription"

Finally look for "I want a refund."

You will need to complete and submit the form.
