a game I just won wasn't properly recorded as such

Hey, just before my opponent made their last move in a game I played recently, their timer dropped to 0:00. Immediately afterwards, it popped up on my screen that I lost on time and showed him with 0:00.4. But that's not right at all. He had all zeros. It usually just shows then either draw or that I win when my opponent has all zeros but the system wrongly gave him a win and me a loss. I hope that can be corrected because I know I didn't lose the game. He should not have been awarded the win. You can't win when your clock reaches zeros. I know he didn't win. His clock reached all zeros.

If you're on the apps, I believe the tenths of a second don't show.

According to the game results, you ran out of time and they did have some time on the clock. Also, the client clocks are not official, just the server clock is.

No. He had all zeros. I was using phone, but not app. I was using browser. So he did have all zeros and that's what I saw when I was playing him. I should have been given the win. That's why I titlec it "game I just won", etc. I was so happy to have won that game and then saw a message saying I lost and was like, "huh???!" and then saw he had time! And that's obviously a glitch. Since I was using browser, it's obvious that the time of all zeros I saw was proper. But I wasn't given a win. Hopefully, fix this bug. But I should not have lost. He ran out of time before playing his last move. I saw that happen when I was playing him and that's the truth. To say he had time is lying. Why are you backing a lying system?!? You shouldn't. If chess.com mods defend such glitches, then I shouldn't trust them. I should have been awarded the win because that's what happens when opponent runs out of time. They don't get time added back on magically. Sorry.

As I mentioned, the client clocks are not official. Only the time on the server matters. Since the game ended with you out of time that means your opponent still had time and you ran out.

TO MARTIN, WHY DOES IT SHOW ME THE WRONG TIME THOUGH? THAT IN AND OF ITSELF SOUNDS GLITCHY. IF IT'S NOT A GLITCH, THEN THE TIME I SAW WAS RIGHT? SORRY FOR ALL CAPS, KEYBOARD WONKY...

TO OTHER GUY, YOU HAVE EARNED A BLOCK. BYE.

Sometimes the client clocks can get out of sync, especially at the end of games with a lot of quick moves and premoves. Connection lag can also play a part.

When a move is received, the code will update the clocks based on what the server official times were. Most of the time it's going to be accurate.
