Aborting games

So I was playing like any other day when all of a sudden my abort button got removed? Before hand I've only aborted only if the opponent hadn't made their move for like 20-30 seconds or something. Why is this and will i get my abort button back or is it gone forever???

If you abort too often, as a percentage of completed games, you lose the ability to abort.

As you play more games your abort rate should drop and make it possible again but aborting should be rare.

Right, you can report people quitting (i.e.aborting). Although it is possible in chess. Logical?

Can't you just close the app or the browser window?

You could, but if there's no abort option, it will count as a rated loss anyway.
