Hello all. I was in the middle of a game with a player who may have lost his internet access due to the weather on the East coast. He has now forfeited on time. Is there any way to have his status set to vacation and the game held at it's last position?

So you do not get into this situation again you can uncheck "Auto-Win on Time" here.  http://www.chess.com/home/echess_settings.html

There is a setting in turn based that you can turn on so that you do not auto-claim wins on time. This will extend a lifeline to any of your opponents that time out. If you're talking about live chess, though, I don't think there's anything that can be done.

Thanks for the replies.

Is there any authority that can adjust the settings retroactively? (ABE; We are replaying the game, it is just that my rating is now inaccurately high.)
